Well…hello! My name is Jaclyn and my family, and I reside in a suburb city outside of Houston, Texas.

Who am I in a nutshell?

A believer sharing God’s grace. A devoted wife. A mom on a mission. 

Can’t relate, stay anyway!

I have always been a creative person. I was a dancer til I was about 22 years old and man, do I miss it. I have a BFA in Visual Arts and Design with an emphasis in photography. I have been a freelance photographer for about 15 years now though I have really chosen to slow down in that department. I always thought I was going to be an interior designer. In college, I decided to change my major from interior design to photography. Nowadays, I often find myself back in the realm of design and decorating. I really enjoy it and have been finding ways to combine photography and decorating/design. Over the years I’ve added some additional certificates to my education for home staging and redesign. At the end of the day, I have always thrived in the realm of creative arts!

I am a mother of three boys and one girl, my last two kids being twins! The mom life is a wild one in our home but it’s also fun.  We are busy and sometimes we are just surviving BUT we are making it and doing our best along the way!

My husband is my soulmate. I married my high school sweetheart, and it has been such a blessing to be able to literally grow up together. We grew up a few streets away from each other and attended school together from kindergarten through college. Over time we have realized just how much we enjoy working together. That being said, our goal is to support our family while being able to work together doing something we love.

This blog has been in the works for a few years now as it was originally going to showcase the transformation of our current home. Though it is still going to touch on that, it will be more of a beginning and continuation of our home rehabbing journey from this point on as well as the everyday happenings of life. So relax, enjoy, and don’t visit just to be a grammar grinch or anything like that! I don’t sleep so it’s bound to happen from time to time.
